Nyame, the Sky God, has scattered the world’s stories across the valley — some in the grass, some hung high where only silk can reach. You are Kweku Anansi: roam the farms, the market, the river and the treetops and gather them before the sun goes down. Smash old pots for cowries and greet the sheep, the tortoise and the villagers as you go. Eight levels — ending on the mountain rim and Nyame’s floating sky court — each one asks for more stories in less daylight.

Kweku runs the market road at sunset. Leap the yam baskets, duck under the awnings and gather cowrie shells — then spot the story treasures glinting overhead and sling a web to pull them out of the sky. The further he runs, the faster the village flies past.

The Wisdom Pot Quiz
Every right answer adds a drop of wisdom to Anansi’s pot. The questions come straight from our stories and from Akan tradition — Nyame the Sky God, Aso and Ntikuma, the meaning of Ananse Ntontan. Play as a Little Spider, a Clever Spider, or go for Wisdom Keeper.

About the games
Are the Anansi games really free?
Yes — completely. No adverts, nothing to buy, no catch. It is the same promise as our stories: free to read, free to play, forever.
What age are the games for?
Story Dash suits about age 6 and up, once a child can handle a swipe or the arrow keys — though older children and adults chase the high score just as hard. The Wisdom Pot Quiz has three levels, starting at around age 5 and going up to questions that will test a grown-up.
Do I need to download or install anything?
No. Both games run straight in your web browser on a phone, tablet, laptop or school Chromebook. Story Dash uses 3D graphics, so on an older device you can switch to the lighter version linked inside the game.
Is any information collected about my child?
None. There is no tracking inside the games. High scores are saved only in your own browser on your own device, and clearing your browser data clears them.
Who is Kweku Anansi?
Anansi (Ananse in Twi) is the clever spider of Akan folklore from Ghana and the hero of the Anansesɛm storytelling tradition. Kweku is the Akan name for a boy born on a Wednesday. Read more about who Anansi is.
